Delhi offers robust opportunities in medical education, with a total of 10 medical colleges providing MBBS courses and a combined seat count of 1,397. Of these, 1,147 MBBS seats are available in 8 government medical colleges, while the remaining 250 seats are offered by 2 private medical colleges. Interestingly, Delhi presents even greater prospects for postgraduate medical education compared to undergraduate.

In Delhi’s government medical colleges, 15% of MBBS seats are reserved for the All India Quota (AIQ) and are filled through MCC Counseling, while the remaining 85% of seats fall under the State Quota and are allotted through counseling conducted by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, and other respective authorities depending on the institution.
In Delhi’s private medical colleges, 100% of MBBS seats are filled through State Quota counseling, conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) or other designated state counseling bodies.
