Haryana Government MBBS Bond Requirements

Haryana’s Medical Bond Agreement mandates that MBBS graduates from government colleges serve in rural healthcare sectors for five years upon finishing their studies.

Bond policies aim to bridge healthcare gaps by ensuring medical graduates serve in rural and underserved communities, addressing critical healthcare shortages.

Candidates completing MBBS must select from these options:

  1. Agree to work in a government medical post.
  2. Opt-out and settle the Service Incentive Bond payment in full.
  3. Opt-out and pay the Service Incentive Bond in monthly installments.

Candidates must enter into a tripartite agreement involving the candidate, the bank, and the Government, facilitated by the admitting institution.

The financial obligation under the Service Incentive Bond will carry an interest rate aligned with the REPO Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) and may vary as per market conditions.

After completing their MBBS, candidates will be bound by the Service Incentive Bond for a total of five years.

As a part of the agreement, the government will repay the full bond along with accrued interest to the bank in recognition of the candidate's service.
